Business Event: Creative Conversations – Unlocking New Ways to Think About Climate Change
The climate emergency is a key priority for businesses and our wider society, requiring urgent and collective action.
The good news?
We all have the ability to contribute to make a positive change, regardless of our resources.
This event will showcase a range of innovative creative projects designed to start conversations and change behaviours to promote the green agenda.
We will look at creative work from local companies of all sizes, with the goal of inspiring you and your organisation with unique ways to take action and make environmentally friendly choices.
Our keynote speaker Translink is leading the way with their #LetsChangeTogether campaign, calling for organisations and individuals to join with it to make the necessary changes to achieve net-zero emissions across Northern Ireland.
This campaign coincides with Translink’s Climate Positive Strategy, which they presented at COP26. We will hear about some of their creative partnerships, including collaborations with Culture Night Belfast, EastSide Arts and Belfast Exposed, which have helped them to reinforce their commitment to addressing the climate emergency.
Tinderbox Theatre Company will tell us how they have adopted The Theatre Green Book which brings together theatre-makers and sustainability experts to create a common standard for making theatre sustainably.
We will hear from Replay Theatre Company who have recently programmed an educational play THAW with strong climates themes, for young people with PMLD.
Finally, our eco-warrior Anna Leckey from Three’s Theatre Company will inspire us with her individual approach to sustainability including living plastic-free for a year.
Join us for this inspirational event, guaranteed to spark ideas about how we can make individual and collective change to transform our future for the better.
