Arts and Cultural Sector Coffee Morning 5

In partnership with Equity, Theatre and Dance NI (TDNI) will be hosting our fifth coffee morning on Wednesday 24th February at 10:30am to promote the mental health and well-being services available to members.

Joining us for the Coffee Morning this month is Emily Lamey. Since completing her degree in drama Emily has held many roles in the Arts sector. Working as an actor for a number of years before gradually bringing her love of theatre to a career in stage managing. Working in a creative environment with likeminded people is extremely important to her as it is to all that work in this industry. After losing all of her scheduled work as a result of Covid-19, Emily and her partner started their own business, the Happy Pallet Co, making furniture from recycled pallets and live edge timer – allowing their creative outlet to grow and evolve!

Yoga has been a big part of Emilys life for the last 5 years and after completing her second teacher training she quickly joined the team at Hot Yoga Belfast. The coffee morning class will be suitable for everyone from complete beginners to seasoned pros, encouraging us to slow down, unwind and turn our attention inward. The 45 minute class will focus on breath and movement together, bringing us into the present moment and hopefully blowing away some cobwebs!

Fionnuala Kennedy, Freelance Theatre Maker Writer and Director, will also be joining us to talk about the collective of artists seeking change in the sector in Northern Ireland.

TDNI and Equity are keen to help and support you and, as always, will share and promote the mental health and wellbeing services available. We look forward to welcoming you all!
