Unlimited is an arts commissioning body that supports, funds and promotes new work by disabled artists for UK and international audiences. Their mission is to commission extraordinary work from disabled artists that will change and challenge the world.
Unlimited are looking for independent disabled panel members to select the next round of Unlimited commissions.
What is a selection panel?
A selection panel is a group of people who review all the applications submitted for an award. This is initially done through an online portal for long-listing.
The panel then come together online for a decision-making meeting, to select the projects that are exciting, ambitious, excellent, innovative, and led by disabled artists.
Unlimited believe in transparent and fair decision making, which is why no one from the core Unlimited delivery team can vote on any of their selection panels. Instead, they prioritise recruiting and working with a range of independent disabled panellists from across the creative industries to ensure a balanced range of perspectives.
- They prioritise people who define as disabled and bring fresh perspectives, knowledge, and experience to the table.
- They are looking for people with different artform focuses to make the panels as varied as possible, with a wide range of experience to draw from.
- They are particularly keen to hear from people who have faced barriers to getting work made at some stage and/or have a good understanding of their specialised artform.
- They are looking 20 to 25 new panel members.
Self-employed panel members will be paid a fixed fee of £1500. Access requirements will be met for all panel members.
Deadline is the 10th June
