Next Friday, 4th September, Dance Ireland will host the first of a three part professional development programme for Digital Practice, as part of their Autumn/Winter programme.
As an organisation, they recognize the need to embrace change and find new ways of working for the future; for ourselves and for the benefit of our Members. In recent months, it is clear that in order to progress our art form, we must take the skills we have and use them differently.
Dance in the Digital World explores the possibilities and open conversations for presenting with digital technologies in both live and online contexts.
The forum will be a space to share experiences and explore attitudes, with contributions from John Scott, Adrienne Brown and Rita Marcalo on online festivals, screendance and adventures in augmented reality.
Following on from this forum, they will have a series of in depth Digital Encounters with Tim Cassen (23 Sep) and Mary Wycherley (21 Oct), focusing on digital innovation and user led design, and using digital technology in live work.
Dance Ireland Members can reserve a place by emailing Andrea on firstname.lastname@example.org
