Applications for Dublin Theatre Festival Bursaries 2026 are now closed.
Theatre and Dance NI (TDNI) is offering three bursaries of £500 to support Northern Ireland arts workers to attend Dublin Theatre Festival 2026.
One bursary is available for early-career arts workers and two for established arts workers.
Attending the festival provides an opportunity to experience leading Irish and international work, develop professional relationships, gain insight into current practice and explore future presentation, touring and collaboration opportunities.
About the bursary
Theatre and Dance NI has supported members to attend Dublin Theatre Festival since 2016, recognising the value of experiencing world-class theatre, building professional networks and strengthening future opportunities for artists from Northern Ireland.
This year, each bursary will offer £500 towards the cost of attending Dublin Theatre Festival and can be used for:
- Travel
- Accommodation
- Festival tickets
- Per diems
Dublin Theatre Festival takes place 24 September–11 October 2026.
Who can apply?
To apply, you must:
- Be a current registered member of Theatre and Dance NI, with your membership active for a minimum of six months.
- Be an arts worker based in Northern Ireland.
- Be available to attend Dublin Theatre Festival 2026.
- Not already be presenting work at Dublin Theatre Festival 2026.

Complete the online application form by Sunday 13 September 2026 at 12 noon.
Only applications submitted within the application period will be considered.
