The detail: Festival of Fools seeks a Festival Producer for the 2022 event. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of managing street theatre festivals and an understanding of what it means to bring international and community acts together in the same programme.

Are you a confident individual who can plan well and get us ahead of the game this side of Christmas? If so, you could have lead responsibility for programming and producing a high-quality festival that engages, entertains and excites new and existing audiences alike. Like last year, the Festival Producer will play a key role in supporting fundraising applications and the development of the entire event. They will work closely with the leadership team of Belfast Community Circus School.

Dates: The successful candidate will be expected to start work before the 1st December and will finish no later than the end of July 2022. Subject to funding and satisfactory performance, an extended contract may be offered to cover Festival 2023 and/or 2024.

Hours: There is an expectation that all parties will work flexibly and take a pragmatic approach to working hours. There will be some weeks that demand more than full time hours and Festival weekend itself will be incredibly busy with long days. To balance that, there will be other weeks at the start and end of the contract where only part-time hours are demanded.

Working to: CEO Belfast Community Circus School and Festival of Fools, Jenna Hall.

Working with: The CEO, as mentioned above and Belfast Community Circus School’s wider team.

Terms: A freelance contract will be issued. Payment will be made on receipt of invoices. Dates are negotiable. A 20% final payment will be made on successful completion of the job.

Application process: Deadline – 31st October 2021. To submit an expression of interest, please send a CV to Jenna@FoolsFestival.com and a covering letter highlighting where your experience matches the job and person specification detailed below.  All enquiries to Jenna via 028 9023 6007.

State why you are interested in the post and what you think you can bring to Festival of Fools and how you will make it develop/grow in 2022 and beyond.

Once we have shortlisted we will contact you regarding the outcome of your application and to confirm if interviews will be taking place.\
