KPMG are delighted to announce a new exciting partnership with the Lyric Theatre, helping to support their work in creating positive social impact right across Northern Ireland.
This partnership will specifically champion the Lyricâs extensive work in the community, supporting their commitment to creating a truly inclusive and accessible theatre and playhouse for all.
Last year over 15,000 children and young people participated in the Lyricâs outreach work in schools and communities all over Northern Ireland, and this work has been recognised with a UK Theatre Award in 2022, winning âExcellence in Arts Educationâ. The Lyric offers free resources and tours to schools in the most disadvantaged areas of Belfast, and the theatre works with disabled and d/Deaf audiences, creatives and community groups promoting inclusion and diversity on and off their stages.
KPMG and the Lyric share a commitment to tackle disadvantage and creating opportunities for people who might not otherwise have them.
This work aligns with KPMGâs corporate citizenship strategy which focuses on delivering empowering projects which create a lasting impact in our communities.
Johnny Hanna, Partner-in-charge of KPMG in Northern Ireland, said of the partnership:
“We are looking forward to working with the Lyric Theatre. For almost 75 years they have been working tirelessly to promote the transformative power of live theatre, to widen participation and inspire the next generation of theatre audiencesâ.
Claire Murray, Head of Development and Marketing at the Lyric Theatre, added:
âWe have worked with KPMG on various initiatives over the years and are so impressed with their clear commitment to making positive change in communities across Northern Ireland. This partnership will help support the work we have been doing both in the theatre and in our communities to increase access for young people, artists and audiences.â
