The countdown is on to Theatre 2016!

Theatre 2016 is designed for everyone who cares about the future of theatre in the UK, whatever their specialism or length of career.

Ten theatre-focused bodies, including TheatreNI, have been working on this major two-day conference that will bring 1,000 delegates from across the UK theatre sector together on 12 and 13 May 2016 in London.

Theatre 2016 celebrates the UK’s current position as a world leader in theatre and highlights theatre’s massive contribution to the cultural, social, educational and economic health of the nation.

Attending Theatre 2016 puts you right at the heart of some big discussions and debates on how theatre in the UK can move forward and adapt to the current world climate and continue to flourish no matter what the coming years may bring.

This event, organised as two mornings of keynote addresses and launches of breaking new research; and six mini-conferences addressing wide-ranging issues from engaging a new generation both inside and outside the classroom, to the growing impact of technology on theatre and much more – offers an unmissable opportunity for theatre professionals to share experiences, to learn, and to connect with those in similar situations.

The speaker list, which features Paula McFetridge (Kabosh Theatre), Ali Fitzgibbon (Freelance Arts Consultant and Programmer), Steven Hadley (Queen’s University Belfast), is wide-ranging. View the updated conference programme HERE.
