QUB are welcoming Jill Dolan (author of The Feminist Spectator as Critic) to Queen’s in October and have organised a public lecture and seminar and are inviting theatre professionals to attend.
The first event will be Dolan’s lecture, “Performance as Possibility: Finding Joy and Hope at the Theatre”, and booking is available here: 14.10.24 Performance as Possibility.
The second event, which we are particularly keen to have arts professionals attend, is Criticism in Precarious Contexts: An Open Seminar on Theatre Reviewing Cultures in the North. We are hoping to ignite conversations surrounding theatre criticism in the North, which will then hopefully feed into research on the possibilities of feminist criticism in the industry.
