Spotlight on Creative Innovation: Adam Dougal

As part of July’s Theatre and Dance NI newsletter, we’re shining a spotlight on some of the ways individuals and organisations are innovating during this time. Here’s how local actor Adam Dougal has been exploring mental health through podcasts.

Local Actor Adam Dougal has created a series of podcasts exploring the mental health and wellbeing of artists.

How do they find a sense of balance in the turbulent world of freelance work and still manage to stay creative?

This series was created in response to Inspire’s research that found you are four times more likely to suffer from a mental health issue if you work in the arts. Throughout the creation of the series, it soon came to light that we are all Like Minded, we all need space and time for survival, self-care and support to break the stigma that surrounds mental health.

You can listen to the whole series here:

Also available on the following platforms:  Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Breaker and Radio Public.
