Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, in partnership with Bow Street Academy, the National Screen Acting School of Ireland has launched an innovative new scheme ‘Actor as Creator’, to promote and invest in Irish screen acting talent, during a time when social distancing measures are affecting traditional production activity. ‘The Actor as Creator’ is a new initiative designed to create a diverse range of work from unique creative voices within the Irish screen acting community.
Actors are asked to submit a proposal based on a concept, script and/or character they have originated. The successful recipient will originate, perform and produce the short filmic work. The successful pieces will be showcased widely after completion.
Up to 30 successful participants will be allocated a grant of €2,500 towards producing the short work.
