Main Purpose of Job:
We are seeking an experienced individual experienced in co-designing, developing, and delivering high quality, socially aware and commercially astute creative learning programmes.

The remit of the Creative Learning and Engagement Manager role will be to co-design, develop and deliver educational arts-led programming for the global university sector. The postholder will research, identify and secure opportunities with universities globally to codesign learning modules for undergraduate & postgraduate students for delivery in Northern Ireland.

The postholder will also take a lead role in the co-design and delivery of the MACtivate initiative with our Associate Partners thereby embedding engagement and participation at the heart of the MAC.

Reporting directly to the Creative Director (Visual Arts), the Creative Learning and Engagement Manager will sit on the MAC’s Management Team and will work collaboratively across the whole of the organisation and with the MAC’s programming team in particular.

The successful candidate will have a track record of working internationally with 3rd level education providers as well as developing and delivering high quality and inspiring creative learning programmes in an arts venue, company, schools, community, or festival environment. They will demonstrate the ability to use available resources to play a key role in designing and delivering a programme of complementary activity which builds on the MAC’s reputation nationally and internationally. Essential Criteria
A related third level qualification with at least 3 years’ experience as outlined below; OR qualified by experience with at least 5 years’ relevant experience as outlined below:

Working at managerial level in the cultural education, or participation sector;
Developing relationships and opportunities with universities;
Developing and delivering public engagement, participatory, and learning programmes;
Working with artists and turning ideas into innovative and ambitious programmes of engagement;
Collaborating with agencies working with a wide range of people, including Section 75 individuals and groups, young people, schools, local authority departments, and voluntary sector agencies;
Budgetary planning and management over £100k per year.
Desirable Criteria

Recognised industry qualification and/or related third level qualification
Experience of working in a multi art form venue;
A track record of successful fundraising and delivering funding agreements.
