Theatre and Dance NI are pleased to announce upcoming bursaries available for Dublin Fringe Festival, Dublin Theatre Festival and Belfast International Arts Festival.

Dublin Fringe Festival Bursaries  - applications open 19th August and DEADLINE EXTENDED – CLOSING 30TH AUG AT NOON

Theatre and Dance NI are excited to offer four bursaries of £500 each for early to established Northern Irish artists, directors and producers who are intending to take work to the Dublin Fringe Festival in the future.

Theatre and Dance NI have supported artists to attend the Dublin Fringe Festival since 2016 and are delighted to be able to provide bursaries that can be used for travel, accommodation, tickets, or per diems while at the festival.

There will also be an opportunity to meet directly with current Festival Director, David Francis Moore on Thursday 12th September, who will provide artistic and practical advice for artists aspiring to showcase their work at the Fringe and beyond. The festival runs from 7th – 22nd September 2024. Information on how to apply can be found below.

Dublin Fringe Festival is home to bold ideas, brave performing arts, and adventurous audiences. Fringe is a curated, multi-disciplinary festival and year-round organisation focusing on fresh and innovative approaches to the arts from Irish and international makers.

  • You cannot apply if you have received the Fellowship Bursary for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024.
  • You cannot apply for this bursary if you are already taking work to the Dublin Fringe Festival 2024.

Theatre and Dance NI have supported NI artists to attend the Dublin Theatre Festival since 2016 and are delighted to be able to provide two bursaries for 2024. The bursaries provide financial support of £500 that can be used for travel, accommodation, tickets, or per diems while at the festival. The festival runs from 28th September – 15th October 2024. Belfast International Arts Festival 2024

Belfast International Arts Festival – applications open 2nd September and close 10th September at noon.

We are excited to offer bursaries for artists to ‘Go See’ international work during Belfast International Arts Festival!

Theatre and Dance NI have been working with Belfast International Arts Festival since 2019 and are delighted to now be able to provide ten bursaries of £50. The bursaries provide financial support for artists to be able to go see international works in Belfast.

Belfast International Arts Festivals 62nd Festival returns 16 October – 23 November 2024 with a new season of contemporary arts and culture in over 30 venues across the city and featuring the very best international and homegrown artists in theatre, dance, music, visual arts, literature, and film.
