UKDN is recruiting a freelance co-ordinator/producer to support the work of the network.  The role is the equivalent of 10 days/year paid at £210/day.  We are looking for someone to begin handover of this role in mid May.

UKDN is a peer support network for organisations across the UK that work for development of dance artists, audiences and the communities around them.

We’re looking for someone with reliable administration and project management skills, clear written communication skills, and some knowledge of the dance sector in the UK.  Over the past two years, we’ve learned that most of this work can be done online, so the role is suitable for people who are happy to work remotely.  Apart from two monthly meetings of approximately one hour each, the working hours are flexible.

Detailed role description

  • Schedule and host monthly zoom meetings
  • Attend monthly meetings and generate accurate minutes, circulate across network
  • Schedule and attend monthly Steering Group meetings
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with Independent Chair
  • Facilitate bi-annual recruitment of Independent Chair
  • Co-ordinate biannual in-person gathering
  • Manage website; regular updates and occasional news items
  • Manage UKDN twitter account
  • Gather and promote employment opportunities within the network via website and social media channels
  • Respond to website enquiries as required
  • Occasionally take on research projects to service the network
  • Occasionally facilitate network subgroups that cluster around topics of interest
  • Liaise with UKDN Chair and UKDN account host (currently Dance4) to keep abreast of finances and report at UKDN meetings
  • Maintain an up to date database of network members
  • Maintain UKDN files, keeping up to date records securely
  • Communicate with network members, responding to enquiries and requests as appropriate
