The Duncairn is welcoming Maxine Peake alongside makers Aoibh Johnson and Alice Malseed to deliver a workshop on the 14th of December exploring Writing for Performance.
In this 4 hour workshop, participants will have the chance to explore their own creative writing style, share their work with like minded creatives and seek advice and support from Maxine, Aoibh and Alice on improving their practice.
Participants will also have the opportunity to partake in a Q&A with Maxine Peake and director of Theatre and Dance NI, Niamh Flanagan.
The hope is to see a room filled with inspired and excited creatives, eager to learn from one another and celebrate the magic of writing for stage and screen.
At present, there are 20 spaces available for budding writers and performers who are ambitious and eager to learn how to improve their work. These spaces will be available for creatives who are 18 or over and we are passionate about welcoming early career artists and creatives from marginalised communities.
This workshop is part of Maxine Peake’s Duncairn takeover and is sure to be an incredibly powerful and uplifting day.
