Education and Engagement Assistant

The Education & Engagement Assistant will support the Education & Engagement Officer in the delivery of our education/engagement projects.

You will oversee the administration and logistics of these projects that aim to widen access to the arts and deepen the impact of our work including scheduling activity and arranging transportation, liaising with artists, project staff, teachers and parents, maintaining documentation and supporting evaluation and reporting. Because the bulk of our delivery takes place around the Belfast Children’s Festival, there will be additional responsibilities for the Assistant during this time.

This post is offered as a fixed term, mostly part-time contract until 31 July 2022. It has been previously offered as a temporary Festival contract but is now being offered as a full year post with additional hours per week from January to April 2022 in line with delivery needs.

Funding for this contract is from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Garfield Weston Foundation. It is hoped that this current contract may be extended subject to successful fundraising.
