Dance Ireland invites you to join leading dance and health artist and Parkinson’s dance specialist, Danielle Teale, for a two day insight into Dancing with Parkinson’s practice. This is an introductory course to Dancing with Parkinson’s practice.

The two days will provide artists with an overall knowledge and awareness of this special area of dance and health practice, and an insight into Danielle’s practice in this field which has evolved since 2009.
This will include

  • devising content and artistic material for classes
  • setting up and managing a class
  • specialist health and safety considerations.

Artists attending this two day programme will have the chance to discuss ideas together and reflect on how their personal approaches to dance facilitation are accessible to the Parkinson’s dancer.
Danielle will share her current practice and new artistic work that she is devising with dancers with Parkinson’s.

Time will be given for reflective pauses and breaks owing to the nature of working in the online space.

Any access needs related to online engagement please do let us know in advance.
