Applications are now open for Dance Ireland Residencies taking place between January and August 2025.

The Dance Ireland Residency Programme exists to support dance artists to develop ideas for a new dance work, engage in artistic research, and maintain a studio practice. Residencies are aimed at non-funded artists or projects. Support is offered through wholly subsidised studio space at DanceHouse, Dublin, and a stipend of €750 for the week.

Applications are made through an open call process and will be assessed by members of the Dance Ireland team and an artist representative. Residencies will be awarded on how well they meet the criteria.

Dance Ireland are offering up to 8 residencies of one-week duration, in their studios at DanceHouse, with advice and support from the Dance Ireland team and the option of a studio showing through the New Movements programme.

SUPPORT FOR ARTISTS OUTSIDE DUBLIN

There are additional bursaries of €750 available to applicants living outside 75km of Dublin. Please indicate in your application if you wish to be considered for this bursary.

SUPPORT FOR A DISABLED DANCE ARTIST

There is one bursary of €750 and an access budget* for a Disabled Dance Artist to undertake a residency at DanceHouse. Dance Ireland membership not a requirement.

This residency is designed to support artists with disabilities to create new dance work without any barriers to space and support.

Closing date for applications is 12pm, Friday 6 December 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.
