Objectives of Fund
The fund aims to address digital poverty in rural communities, highlighted as a major contribution towards loneliness and isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Funding will assist grassroots organisations in providing digital technology for the most vulnerable, promoting connectivity, community and facilitating a strong, sustainable broadband connection across rural communities in Northern Ireland. Priority focus will be given to organisations that support older people and young people aged 18 or younger.

The fund has a total value of £55,000.
Grants of up to £1,000 are available.
Who Can Apply
Community groups, voluntary organisations other local, grassroots or community-led organisations are eligible to apply.
Eligible Expenditure
Priority will be given to proposed activities specifically aimed at young people who need greater access to technology or connectivity, or initiatives to combat digital exclusion among the elderly.
Eligible costs include capital purchases, such as computers, tablets, and other digital technologies.
