New outdoor Seasonal Somatics

These new monthly workshop sessions are appropriate for movers and dancers of all abilities who wish to awaken their relationship to mindful movement within the natural world, connecting to the elements and the seasons.

You will be invited to discover your own personal responses to movement through guided explorations: the somatic work aims to explore how moving from a deeply felt experience of the living body can stimulate creativity and facilitate well-being and self-awareness.

There will be dynamic shifts within the workshops with an overall emphasis on nurturing, calming, attending and listening to the body, being receptive and responsive to our environment and to others.

Seasonal Somatic Participant: The outdoor Somatic session with Sandy offers freedom and opportunity to be still, observe and relate to the environment in a physical response that is personal to your own bodies ability and also engage with others in a meaningful manner. Regardless of the weather conditions, the outdoor movement experience is refreshing and uplifting. Sandy leads the session with sensitivity to all participants.

Seasonal Somatic Participant: ”Being outside, moving with others and having time to tune into my senses and connections to the natural world was a deeply rewarding and nurturing experience. Sandy expertly guided us through different movement explorations to increase body sensitivity and creativity. Thoroughly enjoyable.”

Please wear loose, comfortable weatherproof clothing and appropriate outdoor footwear. Bring a notebook, pencil along with your own mask, wipes and sanitisers. You will be working physically distanced from other participants (2m apart).
