Small international group – mentorship in filming with a phone or other nonprofessional gear, technical and compositional instruction, personal feedback, certificate of completion, and a public online screening of all films made during the program.

This is a mentorship program for the artists who are starting a new project, or want to start but assume then need expensive tech. If you have a phone camera a go pro or even an old DV8 camera and want to create screendance this is the program for you. Great for beginners without any experience or folks who have a few films under their belt.
Zornitsa will offer instructional workshops on theory, composition for the camera as well as software and tech possibilities. Every one of the participants will have direct contact with her over ZOOM during the mentorship program. While not in our meetings, Zornitsa will be available thru email.
This is an artist-led mentorship program, and the direction will be taken from the projects of the artists. Possible directions are working with found footage, filming dance, choreographing the film(but not filming a dance per se), working with live feed special effects for virtual live shows, and many others.
In addition to helping you complete your screendance and the personal feedback sessions, participants will also receive a certificate of completion as well as a public online showing of their work through the BodyMeld social media platform.

The final showing of all films produced during the program will happen during the weekend of February 11th, 2022.
