As an active connector across the performing arts community, Performing Arts Forum would now like to form a Festivals Working Group.
Festivals play a crucial role in the performing arts landscape, providing unique opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and audience engagement. The Festivals Working Group will be a dedicated space to advocate for festivals to ensure their specific needs and perspectives are represented and to help us provide policy-makers and funders with an overview of the strategic issues.
As a member of the Festivals Working Group, you will collaborate with executive and board directors to address current issues, share insights, and advocate for the interests of the festival sector. You may also help co-curate open meetings for a broader audience.
Commitment:
- Up to 6 Working Group meetings of up to 2 hours each between October 2024 and October 2025.
- Meetings will be accessible via Zoom.
- There are up to 6 places available.
- For those in salaried positions, this is a voluntary, unpaid role. For freelance practitioners, it is a paid opportunity at €150 per meeting. We aim to ensure this role is accessible to all; please let us know if you require additional support.
How to Get Involved:
If you’re a festival director, programmer, producer, marketeer or artist, apply here now.
The deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 2 October.
Existing Working Groups:
Performing Arts Forum’s Working Groups play a crucial role in fostering understanding across their membership.
They currently convene an Arts Centres Working Group and a Producers Working Group. They will shortly issue an open call for an Independent Artist Working Group.
