SAFE TO CREATE ANNOUNCE BURSARY FOR MFA IN INTIMACY PRACTICE

Safe to Create is partnering with leading UK drama school Mountview to offer a bursary award for a professional Irish practitioner looking to qualify in Intimacy Practice as part of the newly established MFA at Mountview, London.

Mountview’s MFA in Intimacy Practice is a pioneering training programme designed to develop skilled intimacy practitioners for stage and screen. As the first course of its kind in the world, the two-year MFA (Master of Fine Arts) will provide in-depth study of consent, the creation and holding of boundaries, and the performance of intimacy, underpinned by theoretical and practical training.

Led by Intimacy Coordinator and Movement Director Ita O’Brien, and created in collaboration with Mountview, this course will give practitioners the skills to create safe and open spaces in order to facilitate best working practices when dealing with intimate content. Study involves workshops, lectures and seminars; independent, collaborative and solo practice; and industry placements.

Safe to Create is offering a bursary award to cover the tuition fees of an Irish or Irish resident practitioner, living and working on the island of Ireland, to participate in this two-year MFA.
