ACT the Actors’ Children’s Trust gives grants to children of professional actors & offers advice & support. Established for 125 years. They also offer advice and support and can help you source other funding.

ACT’s help is confidential. Even if one of ACT’s Trustees met you at a casting they would never mention our grants or put you on the spot.  Your application form is only seen by Lydia and Robert in the office.

We consider every family individually. The only exclusions are that ACT does not pay private school fees (including stage school) or legal fees, and ACT is unlikely to award grants if your household income and savings are more than £40,000 a year.

Every child we fund must have a professional actor as a parent – see more information on our eligibility page.

ACT is continuing to pay pandemic-crisis grants this month and in May and June.  Please use the contact form so we can check your eligibility under ACT’s specific criteria. They will need to see your CV with the year given for training and for each paid credited job in theatre, TV and feature film. ACT can only fund families with gross household income and savings totalling less than £40,000 in the last 12 months.
