The Anything to Declare Residency is a unique 3 day Creative workshop facilitated by Choreographer Liz Roche in association with Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre.

Taking place from the 3-5 of May in the rural border town of Swanlinbar on the Cavan Fermanagh border 6 dancers and 4 locally based musicians will be invited to participate in a process of creative investigation and physical exploration.

Engaged artists will spend time in the studio exploring movement and contextual material, they will investigate the border landscape, the cultural realities and will participate in a bespoke programme of local engagement and facilitated discussions.

This unique opportunity is open to dance artists with at least 5 years professional experience and an interest in undertaking creative investigations in border environments and conflictual contexts.

The Anything to Declare Residency will be documented by Film maker Roisin Loughrey and Dancer and academic Jenny Roche. The material produced will provide a record of the processes and practices explored during the residency, this material will be made available as part of a public event and as an online resource.

The Anything Declare Residency is part of the wider Anything to Declare creative investigation and performance programme being delivered by Dylan Quinn Dance Theartre during 2024.

Participating artists will be paid a set fee for the residency and will be provided with accommodation and a contribution towards travel expenses.
