BBC NI Spotlight Special programme – June 22.

The BBC are looking for members to be in their virtual audience, via Skype or Zoom, for a  special studio-based programme which will be broadcast on Tuesday 22nd of June. Individuals who are free to participate or who would be interested in taking part by putting a question to the panel can express your interest by contacting Emma at TDNI, communications@theatreanddanceni.org who will put you in touch with the BBC.

The format of the programme is a panel of politicians and members of the public in a virtual audience (over zoom with covid restrictions) who can ask them questions about the issues that affect them. There are no set topics for discussion on each programme, all the questions come from the audience and usually appear on the programme to reflect the issues that are current in Northern Ireland at the time of broadcast.

The audience will be a balanced audience, to reflect the different opinions in Northern Ireland and the diverse nature of our population, giving you the opportunity to put your questions to a panel of politicians and decision makers in a topical debate programme.

They are asking that the audience submit questions beforehand and will require a little bit of your time in the run up to the recording if your question is selected. They require their virtual audience to be available for a studio rehearsal for half an hour on the day of transmission.

This may be a good opportunity to raise the questions of theatre and dance reopening and support for the arts sector.
