Cahoots NI are on the lookout for new faces to welcome to the Cahoots Family and are inviting performers to apply for their open meeting day.

Their open meeting days will be held in Cityside Belfast and will give performers the opportunity to meet with the Cahoots team.

Cahoots welcome all performers regardless of disability, ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, age and socio-economic background.

Please see all application information below. Submissions must be made before midnight on Sunday 6th March.

How do I apply?

Please email info@cahootsni.com, telling them about yourself and attach a recent photograph. If you have a CV/headshot/links to previous work – please add these to your email. Be sure to tell them about any special skills or interests you have. If you would rather record this information in a short video message, they would love to see that too! Cahoots welcome you to note any access requirements in your email application.

Once applications close on Sunday 6th March, their team will review and shortlist successful applicants. They’ll contact successful applicants by email at least a week before the meeting date to confirm all the details.

Is this an audition for a specific upcoming production with Cahoots?

This isn’t an audition for a specific show – it’s a general meeting with their team where you will have a chance to chat and/or perform a short monologue or scene of your choice. Cahoots have a huge program of work planned for the next 18 months, from non-verbal, to scripted, to immersive pieces, both here in NI and on their established international touring circuit.

Do I need an agent, or a Spotlight profile to apply?

No – they are keen to meet performers regardless of whether they have an agent or not.

If I’m successful, what happens next?

You will be emailed a week in advance with details of the meeting. After their initial session, they may invite you back for a group workshop session with other performers.

Where and when will the meeting take place?

At Cahoots’ base in Cityside, Belfast, on selected dates week beginning Monday 14th March.

What should I prepare?

You may use the time just to have a chat with the team, however they encourage you to prepare a short monologue or scene so they can see you in action. If you have any interesting talents – circus, music, dance – they would love to see that too! They are expecting meeting slots to be in high demand, so recommend keeping anything you would like to share with them to around 5 minutes long.

Can you guarantee that I’ll secure a meeting?

They predict that this process will be popular and therefore unfortunately can’t guarantee that everyone will be seen in this first round of meetings. If you are not invited to meet in this first round, Cahoots would love to keep your email on file for future opportunities.

How will my information be used / stored?

Your data will be processed in line with Cahoots privacy policy If you have any questions regarding their use of your data, or would like to request that they delete the personal data they hold on you, please get in touch.
