Messums Wiltshire are looking for 2 emerging female-identifying choreographers to each present 2 of their choreographic creations as part of the Festival of Dance this summer.
One of the most dynamic artistic mediums, dance, has the ability to inspire, activate the mind and bring people together like no other art form.
Messums ‘Festival of Dance’ is a ten-day festival, dedicated to experiencing dance and performance in an ancient monastic building and its surroundings. This annual gathering celebrates established and emerging choreographers, as well as shares the joy of dance with the local and wider communities.
This year, as a part of the ‘Festival of Dance’ Messums Wiltshire will be introducing a newly established emerging choreographer platform ‘4 by 20’. Through this platform, the organisation will support two choreographers at the beginning of their career, providing a commission for the artists to develop new dance pieces as well as present their work at the festival.
In 2022 the ‘4 by 20’ call out is aimed at female-identifying choreographers only.
