Galway Dance Project is hosting dance artist Jessie Keenan for a workshop exploring the creative potential of archives and architecture through the body.
The workshop will begin with a warm up to activate, engage and connect the whole
body. This will lead into a series of creative tasks expanding awareness of the body in
space, and exploring movement as form of communication and expression.
This workshop is open to professional performers, artists from different disciplines and
Adults 18+ with an interest in movement and creative exploration.
Jessie Keenan is a Cavan-born, Galway-based, choreographer whose work
intersects science, visual art and archives. Interdisciplinary connections are at the
heart of her work. Keenan creates nuanced, intricate choreographies with a strong
visual and architectural aesthetic.
