CQAF Launches Creative Bursary Scheme
The Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, which has presented the best in local and international arts for over 20 years, has announced new Bursary awards for artists working in Music, Theatre, Visual Art and Literature.
Some of this work will be premiered at the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival in May 2024.
The project has been realised with funding support from Perspective Economics and Arts & Business.
The music bursary scheme is supported by Belfast City Council.

Theatre Bursary – £2,000 x2
Music Bursary – £16,000 – (16 individual awards)
Visual Arts Bursary – £2,000
Literature Bursary – £2,000
Theatre Bursary
The Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival Theatre Bursary is designed to support the presentation of theatre production as part of the 24th Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival (2-12 May 2024) or Out to Lunch in January 2025. This can be a new or existing text and is open to established or emerging theatre makers.
CQAF wish to invest £2,000 in your idea for an innovative new theatre production. Please forward a synopsis of no more than 500 words outlining your concept, ideal location and how you would use this money, and separately a budget breakdown. (up to 400 words). Also include short biographies of your proposed creative team.
