#DanceOnTourUK is a campaign to raise awareness of the work of dance artists & companies based in the UK, who have work that is ready and available to tour regionally, nationally and internationally. The website is live and will be regularly updated with new profiles, so, it will become a vital tool when programming dance.
The dance artists & companies on the site are currently members of the One Dance UK Choreographers’ Directory and have chosen to be part of the campaign.

Grand Visionary Solutions (GVS) is an enterprise set up by June Gamble and Gwen Van Spijk to meet the needs of community interest companies, social enterprises and organisations with social agendas.
GVS offers a range of interventions that engage and activate the client’s creative potential, resulting in solution focused action plans and/or well managed projects that meet specific targets and agendas.
In 2019, GVS was commissioned by Zannah Chisholm, former Artistic Director CEO of Pavilion Dance South West, to create #SWDancing – a campaign to raise awareness of the work of dance artists & companies associated with the South West region of England, who have work that is ready and available to tour regionally, nationally and internationally.
As part of the campaign a website was created and populated – www.swdancing.co.uk – The dance artists & companies on this site were self-selected, which means that they chose to be part of the campaign.
In addition to the website, social media platforms were created and leading up to the Surf The Wave event in May 2019, each artist was profiled across the platforms, using the #swdancing.
Post-pandemic, now feels like the appropriate time launch a national campaign – #DanceOnTourUK – that promotes the work of touring dance artists & companies across the UK and enables UK and international promoters, presenters & producers to visit one website to acquire as much information as possible regarding dance productions, films/digital events that are available to be presented at arts centres, theatres and outdoor sites.
Having originally undertaken the work for Pavilion Dance South West, GVS decided to create, deliver and manage the #DOTUK campaign.
