Department for Communities Access & Inclusion Fund 2021/22 – call for applications from eligible organisations based in Belfast.
This fund aims to increase accessibility to, and therefore participation in, arts, culture and certain leisure activities, by people with disabilities. See the attached guidance notes for more details. Examples of projects this fund has previously supported: fully accessible swings in playparks; doors and lifts to accommodate people with mobility issues in cultural venues; and signage to assist people with visual impairments at City Hall.
Applications for funding must be made on the attached application form and received by Belfast City Council via email to culture@belfastcity.gov.uk by 3.00pm on Wednesday 16 June.
Please note this funding is only eligible for capital expenditure incurred from the date of letter of offer.
Projects should not exceed £30,000 in total.
Applicants must contribute 10% of costs. Maximum funding available to each project is therefore £27,000.
Applications will not be accepted to part fund new build projects which have already commenced. All proposed projects must be new and standalone.
