You are invited to the Eadrainn/ Between Us Symposium on Friday 21 April, at DanceHouse

Eadrainn / Between Us is a new programme of creative exchange between Dance Ireland and Dance Base, Edinburgh funded by the Arts Council of Ireland’s International Residency Initiative Scheme, which has been taking place throughout March 2023.  This programme has built on the existing relationship between both organisations to provide an opportunity to connect artists across each dance sector and country, to share practice, and to develop an ecology of exchange and collegial support.

Dance Ireland and Dance Base, Edinburgh look forward to sharing insights and learning from this artistic and cultural exchange at the Eadrainn/Between Us Symposium on 21 April; co-curated with dance artist and choreographer Rob Heaslip, the facilitator for the programme.

The symposium will feature in-depth mapping of the dance sector and community in Ireland and Scotland; discussions with artists and producers on the possibilities of professional and cultural exchange and presentations from the 2023 Eadrainn/Between Us Artists.

This is a day long event; lunch will be provided, followed by a drinks reception in the evening.

There are 10 travel bursaries of €100 for freelance dance artists and professionals which will be offered on a first come, first served basis – closing date Friday 14 April.
