Cultural Bridge funds cross-border partnerships between arts and cultural organisations in the UK and Germany focused on social arts practice. The 2026–2027 round supports new and existing partnerships to exchange skills, co-develop projects and address community themes across both countries.

Why is Cultural Bridge important for NI organisations?

Cultural Bridge provides a strong route to build or deepen international collaboration, secure project funding, and share participatory practice with peers in Germany and is especially valuable for smaller organisations and those working outside major cities.

Key details

Total fund: £370,000 (≈€430,000); up to 20 awards.

Tiers:

Tier 1 (new partnerships): up to £10,000.
Tier 2 (established partnerships): up to £30,000.

Access costs: Applicants may request additional personal access costs (see guidance).

Eligibility Criteria

Who: Organisations based in the UK or Germany with expertise in social arts practice.

Prioritised in 2026–2027:

  • Smaller organisations without significant/sustained funding
  • Organisations working with communities outside major cities
  • Organisations empowering local communities; aligning with programme aims/place themes
  • Leadership/practice that fosters EDI
