IDEA – International Dance Encounter Amman invites you to submit your performance proposals for its 3rd edition. IDEA is a multidisciplinary festival that aims to create a bridge that will unite the artistic influences of Jordan and abroad. IDEA program consists of works in the fields of dance, theatre, performance, and art installations.
We embrace different art forms and emphasise on pushing boundaries of experimentation. IDEA is organised and curated by Jordan based arts and culture platform, Studio 8, partnering with local, regional and international organisations. Established in 2014, Studio 8 held more than a hundred workshops while organising and implementing many projects, with a focus on creating multidisciplinary dance productions.
Accommodation and meals will be provided for companies that do not reside in Jordan.
IDEA has limited financial resources. In case of being selected, we will encourage and support you to establish contact with your local cultural institutions and embassies to cover the transportation costs.
The companies and troupes chosen will be notified if selected by 30th of January. In case you need notification sooner due to fund rising, please let us know in advance.
The authors will have to adapt to the technical conditions that the venues can offer.

– Provide a full video link of the dance piece you are applying with (In special cases, works in progress will be accepted). *Just Vimeo or YouTube links are accepted. Please make sure that the link is available and that you provide us with a password in case it is private
– Provide 5 to 10 pictures of the piece
– A brief CV of the choreographer, company or artist
– A description of the piece
