Location: Online via Zoom in two separate 2.5 hour sessions.

When: 2nd December 10-12.30, and the second will take place on the 9th December at 10-12.30. Both of these are necessary to complete the full training.

Who is it for: Charities interested in building legacy giving programmes, looking for a roadmap to get started on that journey.

You will learn:

  • The importance of legacy giving and its value to the UK
  • The hallmarks of good legacy fundraising campaigns
  • Charitable legacies are gifts that an individual decides to leave when they are alive that take effect upon their death. They are the largest, simplest and oldest method of planned giving.
  • The sensitivities relating to legacy fundraising and how barriers and objections can be handled

Leaving a gift to a charity in a will is usually the largest donation an individual ever gives.

Following the Covid-19 crisis, it is more important than ever for arts organisations to diversify their income streams and to learn more about how donors have responded to legacy planned giving amidst the backdrop of a pandemic.
