Theatre and Dance NI’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme: 25th October 2021

Come and join us for a fun filled day of canoeing as part of our Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme!

As many of you know, Theatre and Dance NI hosted a series of successful monthly digital Coffee Mornings during the months of the pandemic in partnership with Equity which helped support members mental health and wellbeing during difficult time. Feedback from attendees has indicated that the sessions were greatly appreciated and that the sector would value a continuation of these type of activities in person – in the months ahead.

We are so pleased to share that we are now able to continue to hold these sessions in person with support from Belfast City Council.

For the next six months, Theatre and Dance NI will host sessions which will include canoeing, bike rides, meditation, yoga, and foraging. The programme will be led by a team of professional facilitators helping to reconnect people while sharing information resources on mental health and wellbeing.

We hope you can join us for the first session – Canoeing – led by Belfast Activity Centre (BAC) which will take place on Monday 25th October at 10:30am.  It will be a great way to catch up with people and meet new colleagues; relax, see the sights of Belfast from a different perspective and reconnect.

On the day, meet the TDNI team at Belfast Activity Centre at 10:15am. Please do not be late. Tea/coffee and sweet treats afterwards in BAC conference rooms.

Tickets will be on a first com first served basis. Cost of tickets are as follows:

Individual/Student Members: £10

Funded Organisation Staff Members: £15

Non TDNI Members: £20

We are committed to the Health & Safety of our staff, members, audiences and the general public and will operate this event following government guidelines.

In order to align with the current government guidelines recommended by the Northern Ireland Executive and Public Health Agency, most workshops will be held outside with a maximum number of 30 including staff and facilitator. Workshops that require an indoor space will have significantly reduced capacity aligning with the venue allowance.

We look forward to welcoming you back in person.
