This 10-week course is an integration of release-based contemporary dance and somatic movement practice where you will focus on breath, the use of the bones, muscles and connections between.

Taking the opportunity to re-engage with listening to the body, ourselves and other. Experiential anatomy, visualisation/imagery, connecting to the elements and season, finding a sense of flow and connection within the space will be a feature of the movement and improvisations.

As we move from the lived body experience we can stimulate creativity and facilitate wellbeing and self-awareness.

Participants said about this class:
“Attending this class has become an integral part of my week. The larger role mindful movement plays in my life, the more resilient and grounded I feel. I am calmer and the combative relationship with my body quietens. I feel more at home in my body”

“The class has a gentle flow and encourages exploring movement from listening to our body’s inner impulses and sensations. In this way it helps me relax both mentally and physically. After the session I feel more positive and energised.”
