Northern Irish choreographer and dance artist Michael McEvoy (he/him) has been awarded a Launch Pad Award from Dance Ireland. This call-out is looking for a composer to work alongside Michael’s brief and spark a new connection for potential future projects.
The successful applicant will be funded a one-off, freelance artist fee of €500 (£439). To create a new short piece of music, 3-5 minutes in length in a style that best shows who you are as a musician and artist.
This short composition should be a response to an artistic brief or a question provided by Michael and is to be considered a response created for Contemporary Dance.
The call-out deadline is January 31st, 18.00 GMT, the successful applicant will be notified by February 6th with a negotiable deadline for compositional response to be handed in by the end of February.
