The CSC dancehouse of Bassano del Grappa, in collaboration with the Fresco Parkinson Institute, a centre of excellence for Parkinson’s disease, affiliated to the NYU Fresco Institute for Italy, launches a new Teaching Course for Dance Well in 2024, entirely in English, with a scientific and artistic training, for dance artists who wish to learn and develop their practice, and become part of a international community active in Italy, Germany, France, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Hong Kong and in Japan. Dance Well-movement research for Parkinson’s has been developed in Bassano del Grappa since the spring of 2013, in the spaces of the Bassano Civic Museum, with the aim of including people with Parkinson’s disease through contemporary dance in the artistic and social life of their territories. The artistic spaces where they take place, and the source of inspirations that the context brings, distinguish the initiative from many others held in traditional settings, and the Dance Well teachers bring diverse approaches and styles with their artistic proposals. Today Dance Well is developed in Italy, Asia and Europe thanks to the support of the Creative Europe program of the European Union. Dance Well is also in dialogue with artists, cultural organisations, researchers and scientists in Israel, Great Britain, Sweden and the USA.
