Safe to Create are holding two courses on Intimacy and consent-based practice, now open for booking with upcoming deadlines:

On January 13th, presenting Consent, Boundaries and Sensitivities within Staged Intimacy: a workshop for performers with Sue Mythen. This one-day introductory workshop invites actors, dancers and singers to learn basic tools for navigating physically and emotionally vulnerable moments while creating intimate content for stage.

Deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 5th January.

Intimacy Co-oordinator Ita O’Brien will lead an Introductory weekend workshop on Intimacy on Set guidelines on January 20th-21st. This is a two-day workshop for professional theatre & opera makers including writers, producers, directors, casting directors, agents, movement directors, choreographers, fight directors and stage managers interested in exploring clear guidelines when working with intimacy, nudity and scenes with simulated sexual content.

Deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 12th January.

Both courses take place in Dublin. Access costs can be covered, and travel bursaries will be offered to participants based outside Dublin (applicants must be resident on the island of Ireland).
