The research team at Queen’s University Belfast are conducting a study on mental health and wellbeing in the creative industry. It is a replication of a study conducted in 2018 (available here), which highlighted how little attention is paid to the wellbeing of creatives. However, they will be updating the findings to reflect the impact of Covid-19 on creative work. The creative sector has faced unprecedented challenges due to the pandemic, such as disrupted workflows, and these findings will be used to inform and advocate for better support and resources for creatives working across the UK and Ireland.

The research team are committed to conducting high quality research, but need your help. The survey is open to all types of creative work, such as music, performance art, graphic design, fashion, photography, and industry support such as those in technical crew, marketing etc.

For more information and to take part please see the survey here. It should take no longer than 10/15 minutes to complete.

If you have any questions at all please contact the lead researcher, Dr. Gillian Shorter on g.shorter@qub.ac.uk
