Theatre and Dance NI are pleased to announce upcoming bursaries available for Dublin Fringe Festival and Dublin Theatre Festival.
Dublin Fringe Festival Bursaries  - applications open 29 July and close 10 August at noon.

Theatre and Dance NI are excited to offer four bursaries of £200 each for early to established Northern Irish artists, directors and producers who are intending to take work to the Dublin Fringe Festival in the future.
Theatre and Dance NI have supported artists to attend the Dublin Fringe Festival since 2016 and are delighted to be able to provide bursaries that can be used for travel, accommodation, tickets, or per diems while at the festival.
Dublin Fringe Festival is home to bold ideas, brave performing arts, and adventurous audiences. Fringe is a curated, multi-disciplinary festival and year-round organisation focusing on fresh and innovative approaches to the arts from Irish and international makers.
The festival is a platform for the best new, emerging Irish arts companies and a showcase for the finest international contemporary performing arts. For artists, Fringe facilitates opportunities to innovate, to cross boundaries and strengthen the conditions in which they work. For audiences, Fringe is the place to discover meaningful, exciting, and unforgettable cultural experiences.

- You must be a current registered member of Theatre and Dance NI.
- You cannot apply for this bursary if you are already taking work to the Dublin Fringe Festival 2025.
- Applications open 29 July 2025.
- Applications close 10 August 2025.
- Please note only applications submitted strictly within the above timeframe will be considered.

 Theatre and Dance NI are excited to offer two bursaries of £400 each for early to established Northern Irish artists, directors and producers who are intending to take work to the Dublin Theatre Festival in the future.
Theatre and Dance NI have supported NI artists to attend the Dublin Theatre Festival since 2016 and are delighted to be able to provide two bursaries for 2025. The bursaries provide financial support of £400 that can be used for travel, accommodation, tickets, or per diems while at the festival. The festival runs from 25th September – 12th October 2025. Information on how to apply can be found below.
Established in 1957, Dublin Theatre Festival is an annual event that brings together artists, theatre-makers, and audiences from Ireland and around the world. The festival brings world-class theatre to Dublin, supports artists in creating outstanding work and provides a platform to showcase the best of Irish theatre to the word. The spirit of the festival lies in the people who engage, and they welcome and value the participation of all artists and audiences.
