The New Theatre, Dublin are looking for emerging and mid-career Playwrights to send full-length scripts.
Following the success of their New Writing event in 2022, the now annual New Writing Development Week will take place in December 2023.
They are in search of new play writing voices for inclusion in a series of performed readings. These will take place on The New Theatre stage. These new play readings will be read live by professional actors to a live audience. Post reading audience engagement will be encouraged.
Scripts must be at least 55 minutes in reading time, 45 pages minimum to 70 pages maximum in length. 150 word descriptive synopsis and a 100 word writer’s biography should be attached with your script.
PLEASE NOTE – Scripts submitted to TNT must have a maximum of 4 actors. We are interested in two actor, three actor and four actor plays. Should you have a one person show which you feel is right for The New Theatre, please submit your script.
