Theatre and Dance NI delivers a diverse programme of training and events throughout the year designed exclusively for our almost 300 members and wide network of stakeholders.
Some examples of our member only programmes include our Creating Safer Spaces Programme which supports the sector in prioritising dignity and respect at work, offering professional development courses, workshops, and panel discussions.
We also provide Advocacy Training, and training on the likes of Theatre Tax Relief, First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid, ensuring our members are equipped with vital skills and knowledge.
In addition, our Spotlight Events take place at major cultural festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe and the Belfast International Arts Festival, giving members valuable opportunities for connection, visibility, and growth.
Networking
Theatre and Dance NI support artists at all levels of their careers in creating lasting connections through organising networking events, conferences and workshops.
We encourage artists to network locally, nationally and internationally which have often lead to new opportunities to meet and collaborate with peers, internationalise  artistic practices and learn new skills.
Networking events we have hosted and have delivered include the All-Island Performing Arts Conference, All-Island Youth Theatre Symposium, Spotlight on Theatre and Dance in Northern Ireland at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Catalyst Dance Festival and Co-Motion. Members receive an exclusive discounted rate for networking events hosted by Theatre and Dance NI.
Theatre and Dance NI are active members of the UK Theatre Network, International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts, Irish Theatre and Dance Network, Arts Collaboration Network, Venues Forum, UK Edinburgh Fringe Working Group.
