Arts Infopoint UK: New Survey on UK–EU Cultural Working

Arts Infopoint UK has launched a short survey exploring the current experience of UK–EU working, including opportunities, challenges, and barriers for artists and organisations. The survey gathers insights on:

  • Past engagement with European programmes such as Creative Europe
  • Current realities of UK–EU collaboration
  • Perspectives on the new EU cultural programme, Agora EU

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete, with the option to submit longer case studies if relevant. Responses will help inform future support and guidance for the sector.

Deadline: 15 January

Contact for case studies: infopoint@wai.org.uk

Cultural Exchange Coalition Launched

A new alliance, the Cultural Exchange Coalition (CEC), has been formed to strengthen cultural exchange between the UK and European Union and advocate for improved conditions for international collaboration and touring.

The coalition brings together creative and cultural organisations from across the UK and Europe, including CVAN, EMEE, EMMA, the Independent Society of Musicians, LIVE, the Musicians’ Union, One Dance UK, Pearle*, the Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre, and UK Music.

The CEC outlines its purpose as:

“To transform the UK–EU Summit’s Common Understanding commitment to support cultural exchange into meaningful actions – strengthening creative collaboration, removing barriers and driving shared growth.”

While representation currently leans toward UK-level bodies and the music sector, there may be opportunities for broader voices from across the UK, including Northern Ireland, to engage with the coalition as it develops.
