Join us for a thought-provoking exploration of the role of reviewing and criticism within the arts and theatre ecology across Ireland, north and south. This event will delve into how a culture of constructive feedback can be nurtured and strengthened, highlighting the reviewing practices that inspire, challenge, and elevate artistic discourse. The panel will examine the forms reviews can take, the approaches that shape meaningful critique, and the core principles that should underpin a vibrant reviewing culture. What does a healthier ecosystem of arts criticism look like? How can we encourage more diverse voices and perspectives in theatre reviewing?
This event offers a space to celebrate, question, and reimagine the role of reviews in shaping the future of theatre in Ireland – Hosted by the Irish Society for Theatre Research.
